A parliamentary panel has raised concerns about the "poor quality" of numerous roads constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. They deemed such compromises as "completely unacceptable" and proposed an increase in the thickness of roads under the scheme from the current 20 mm to 30 mm.
